Our forest-raised pork will be available again in 2026, with processing planned for October.
Our pigs are raised in wooded areas where they are encouraged to express natural behaviors such as rooting and foraging. They are rotated through forested paddocks and supplemented with non-GMO grain. This system allows the pigs to live outdoors while improving the health of the woods they inhabit.
For the upcoming season:
- Pork is offered as half hog shares.
- Animals are processed through custom slaughter at a USDA-inspected facility.
- Processing is scheduled for October.
- Customers pick up their pork directly from the butcher, with cutting instructions submitted in advance.
- Processing fees are paid separately to the butcher and are not included in the farm’s pricing.
- Customers can expect approximately 90–100 pounds of packaged meat, depending on cutting preferences.
Because we raise pork at a small scale and base finishing timelines on animal growth and forage conditions, availability is limited once reservations open.
