Our forest-raised pork will be available again in 2026, with processing scheduled for October.

At Skyline Pastures, pigs are raised in wooded paddocks where they are encouraged to express their natural behaviors such as rooting and foraging. The pigs are rotated through sections of forest while being supplemented with non-GMO grain. This system allows them to live outdoors while actively improving the health of the woods they inhabit by disturbing leaf litter, cycling nutrients, and opening space for new vegetation.

The result is flavorful, well-marbled pork from animals raised humanely on pasture and in the forest.

2026 Pork Share Options

Pork is available as half or whole hog shares.

2026 pricing:
Half Hog Share – $6.25 per pound (hanging weight)
Whole Hog Share – $6.00 per pound (hanging weight) (Call for info on placing your deposit)

Typical yields:
Half hog customers can generally expect about 90–100 pounds of packaged pork, depending on cutting preferences. Whole hog shares will be approximately double that amount.

Processing & Pickup

Animals are processed through custom slaughter at a USDA-inspected facility.

Processing details:

  • Processing is scheduled for October 2026
  • Customers will submit their own cutting instructions directly to the butcher
  • Pork will be picked up directly from the butcher shop
  • Processing fees are paid separately to the butcher and are not included in Skyline Pastures pricing

Reserving Your Pork Share

Because we raise pork at a small scale and finishing timelines depend on animal growth and seasonal forage conditions, availability is limited.

Reservations are secured with a deposit:

Half Hog Deposit – $200
Whole Hog Deposit – $400

Deposits may be made through the website or by paying cash directly at the farm.

Once processing dates approach, we will contact customers with cutting instructions and pickup details.
